The Kila Siku Story:
Kila Siku is a special partner for Libeco Home.
It is a charity association founded in 2004 in Goma, Africa. This organization gives women who have been abused or abandoned the opportunity to support themselves and their children by embroidering the festive patterns displayed on these natural flax napkins. Kila Siku the name chosen by the women means Everyday in Swahili. Everyday these woman work to make a better life for themselves and their children. Libeco Home uses all profits from the sale of the Kila Siku Holiday napkins to reinvest in the project.
Care Instructions: All linens can by machine washed or dry cleaned. Please check individual care instruction included with your product. Recommendations for machine washing and pressing.
Treatment Before First Use: If prewashing your linen before using set machine to a low temperature (30°C-86°F) with a small quantity of mild soap/detergent.
Normal washing: Wash as soon as possible after a spill or spot. Do not overload machine. Set machine to maximum water level. Wash at a warm temperature setting 40°C or 104°F as a maximum. Unfold linens before washing. Avoid strong detergents especially in concentrated forms. Do not use detergents with optical whiteners when washing linen. Avoid using bleaches.
Drying: Do not overfill dryer thus allowing linen to move freely during the drying process. Use a short cycle setting keeping in mind that linen dries quickly. Do not over dry linens. Set dryer to a medium temperature.
Ironing/Pressing: 100% linen and linen-cotton can be ironed at the highest temperature with a steam iron. Linen-polyester can be ironed with a steam iron on medium temperature setting. Iron on the reverse side.
Remember linen is a very strong fabric and with proper care it will last for many years.
